Abigail Anderson, better known as Abby, is a protagonist/antagonist from The Last of Us II.

Bio[edit | edit source]

The daughter of head surgeon Jerry Anderson, Abby and the "Fireflies" milita group both hoped to find a vaccine for the resident zombie virus by means of an operation on Ellie Miller. Unfortunately, the fact that this operation would kill Ellie did not sit overly well with her surrogate father Joel Miller. The latter chose to voice his indignation by storming the hospital Ellie was held in, killing plenty of Fireflies in general, and Abby's father in particular. Abby, for her part, chose to voice her indignation by swearing an oath of vengeance against Joel. And up goes the drama.

The hardships of having to live through a zombie apocalypse has given Abby a noticeably muscular build and facial features that even a well-meaning observer would probably label "unique" (while less-polite observers just would give her a bad case of man-face). To be fair, it's debatable whether the same observers would actually say that straight to aforementioned face, as the loss of her father has left Abby with severe anger issues and a great fascination for golfing.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Season 3[edit | edit source]

Abby debuted in 8chanmania XCII, where she quickly made a name of herself by beating the equally feminine Scotman's Wife to a pulp. She subsequently got trolled by the ever-twitching Replica Assassin.

She next entered 8chanmania XCVI, and got immediately ticked off when Eve wondered whether the evolutionary route for women really was for them to turn into men. Her next encounter with Misuzu was more pleasant, as both recognized each other as sisters in spirit and shared a general grudge against the world for not appreciating their feminine grace. Hex Maniac, on the other hand, got right properly spooked by Abby, and even someone as brick-headed as Clyde apparently still had enough sensitive brain matter to suffer a KO. The general dismay at the notion that Abby actually could win a belt thankfully was diffused when the lewd vampire Doris managed to land one of her notorious Spell crits on her - even if this took ten spells in a row.

For reasons well beyond us, someone felt the urge to promptly renominate Abby for 8chanmania XCVII - accompanied by her uncle, who turned out to be no-one else than Senator Armstrong. Her buff build now explained by nanomachines, it came as no surprise when she promptly landed a KO on Midna. Deleting the Line-Block in the next round, the perpetually pissed golfer went on to beat the crap out of the fearsome assault vest-equipped Ditto, but the general worries that Abby actually might belt were dispelled by the some Japanese pizza freak.

With Armstrong already having served as her manager beforehand, it came as no surprise that she teamed up with him for 8chanmania XCVIII. Their nanomachine-enhanced bodies quickly proved to be proverbial wrecking balls, as made evident by their first victory against Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy. Their next match against the 80s Noise Marine and the Goff Rokka came to a grinding halt when Abby nonchalantly landed a crit on the traitor Astartes, and despite widespread expectations to the contrary, the combo of Hank Hill and Bobby Hill (more specifically, Bobby's ballbusting attacks) seemed wildly ineffective against both Armstrong and Abby. Their defeat only came about when they were forced to fight Gintoki Sakata and Dunpan in the semi-finals.

Redemption Ending[edit | edit source]

In 8chanmania C, Armstrong sent out Abby to retrieve the fabled Wrestle Gear from the depths of the facility. What the senator did not expect was that Abby realized most of her recent memories - including her familial ties with the senator and the death of her supposed father - were artificial in nature. A bizarre simulation; meant to turn her into the leader of Armstrong's army once the latter ruled the world.

She nonetheless pushed on to fight Raiden in her first round, and destroyed him with one of her fairly reliable crits. Raiden refused to give her any info about the Wrestle Gear, but instead told her to look out for the "White Snake"

This was the codename for Teagan Almace. Hoping to find out more about herself and her own role in the play at large, Abby went on to fight against and once more critted her opponent. A defeated Teagan informed her that the Wrestle Gear did not, in fact, exist. And that the only thing she had found while shadowing Dr. Morbis after his victory in the grand finals had been a washing machine in place of a wishing machine.

Her mind coming apart at the seams, Abby still pursued her next enemy - the dangerously smug Jetstream Sam, who took minor offense at her previous treatment of Raiden, and major offense because he still was on the paylist of Armstrong. She finished him with a strong pin, only to have Sam suggesting she should not believe everything her supposed uncle tells her.

An empty-handed Abby returned to Senator Armstrong to inform him about her stark lack of a Wrestle Gear. The latter wasn't pleased in the slightest, and told her to look up its last location herself instead of taking the words of other people for granted. She did exactly that, but found the underground vault to be exactly as empty as one might expect. Worse still, she suddenly was contacted by Solid Snake, who explained having Teagan and the rest of the gang driving her to the vault had been planned all along. As their battle ended in Abby's submission to a submission move of Snake, the agent laid out that Abby was neither Abby Armstrong, nor Abby Anderson, and not even a real person as she had been forced to incorporate a character from a video game.

Her real name was Sarah Alvarez. Homeless after her mother had abandoned her at a grocery store at the age of four, she was taken in by a surrogate father that used her as a tax pay-off before he dumped her next to a grocery store three years later. The same place saw her abducted and hooked up to a Neuro-Visualizer; made to play the same bad game every single day. And even undergoing plastic surgery to make her resemble the same character.

Needless to say, Sarah was mildly indignant. It went on to show in her final match against Senator Armstrong, in which she hammered the dear life out of the latter. Telling him to remember her actual name, Sarah left; not pursuing her own fate.
