Big Boss was a highly decorated member of the US special forces who later turned rogue and became a mercenary commander. He is one of the most integral characters from the Metal Gear series, having starred in various roles as a protagonist, side character, and villain.

In Reality[edit | edit source]

Originally operating under the codename "Naked Snake", Big Boss was given his new moniker after killing his former mentor The Boss as part of Operation Snake Eater. Disillusioned, he would later leave the US military and work as a mercenary for various other states before founding his own mercenary group Militaires Sans Frontiéres (MSF), putting them to good use during the Peacewalker incident. When Big Boss fell into a coma following an attack on MSF's home base, he was temporarily replaced by Venom Snake, who had undergone surgery and mental conditioning to become a perfect double of the Boss.

The rest of his story sadly is too lengthy to be discussed here, but suffice it too say that Big Boss has experienced so much backstabbing that he himself eventually turned into the kind of manipulative bastard he used to hate.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Season 1[edit | edit source]

Big Boss debuted as early as 8chanmania II. There, he proved to be a bigger boss than Bane, put Mario back into the pipes, but eventually was shown who was the real boss of the gym by Aniki.

He likewise appeared in 8chanmania IV, where he quickly lost to Akuma.

The Legendary Soldier partook in 8chanmania XXI, but nothing beyond that is known.

Season 2[edit | edit source]

Big Boss returned in 8chanmania XLIV, where he fought and immediately lost against Proto Man during the preliminaries.

His jobbing saga continued in 8chanmania LVIII, which saw him wrecked by Paxton Fettel right in the first round.
