Colonel Scott O'Connor is the protagonist of the NES platformer Kabuki: Quantum Fighter.

Bio[edit | edit source]

In the year 2056, some particularly bright eggheads had the marvelous idea of slaving all of the planet's defenses to a single computer; with no form of redundancy or backups. This created a bit of an issue when said computer ended up getting infected with a virus that slowly began to total it; necessitating a somewhat unusual form of intervention:

Colonel Scott O'Connor, a military agent of the Earth government, volunteers to have himself translated into a purely binary form to enter the computer's system and destroy the virus from within. That his digital alter ego takes the form of a long-haired kabuki actor (who happens to have been his late grand-grand-greatfather) does little to stop O'Connor as he violently whips his hair back and forth.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Colonel Scott O'Connor fought in 8chanmania LXI. He initially faced off against Johnny Slater, who immediately mistook him for a hybrid. A little bit of explaining (and the occasional powerbomb) latter, O'Connor also defeated Superhot, but the quantum kabuki ultimately got stomped by J-Bomb.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Kibuki: Quantum Fighter originally was released as a Famicom title under the name Jigoku Gokuraku Maru. The latter was a tie-in to the 1990 fantasy/science fiction movie Zipang, where a fifteen-year-old kid likewise enters a computer and transforms into a samurai in order to destroy a virus.
