Dural is the recurring arcade mode boss enemy of Virtua Fighter series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Dural is what happens when the developers realize they still have a dummy placeholder model from the game's early alpha lying around. Now, they could have just locked it in the depths of the game files (where only game sharks swim), or turned it into an unlockable joke character. But SEGA, presumably having just watched Terminator 2, decided they wanted a silvery cyborg as their boss enemy.

In-universe, Dural was developed by the ethically-challenged corporation Judgement 6. The latter planned to make use of her as a combat cyborg, and, as such, force-fed her with data from the best flesh-and-blood fighters at their disposal. As a result, Dural's fighting style is a mix-and-match of moves normally found on various other characters; taking up their strongest traits while leaving their weaknesses behind.

Oh, and she's also Kage-Maru's brainwashed mom under all that heavy metal.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Dural debuted in the 90s-themed 8chanmania LII. She outcopied the copypasta by Cycloid Beta and turned down Johnny's Turbo, but eventually had to learn that Steve had always been a kidder.

She took a second chance in 8chanmania LXXXV, where she promptly got blown away by Jetstream Sam.
