The Gameboy Advance was a sixth-generation handheld gaming console.

Bio[edit | edit source]

After the breakthrough success of the original Gameboy and the stupidly large amount of hardware add-ons it sold (including a camera, printer, and probably a coffee machine), Nintendo eventually became frustrated with the hardware limitations of the little brick; particularly it's limited RAM. They thus set out to create a new handheld that would come with processing power comparable to that of a Super Nintendo; without actually having to lug the damn thing around.

Initial attempts to simply make a chunkier Gameboy (nicknamed Project Atlantis) were unsatisfactory, so Nintendo scratched the old design and went with a new concept that resembled a purple Easter egg. Despite regular jokes about its odd look, the Advance would go on to become another much-beloved platform; host to games ranging from Pokemon Ruby/Saphire to Advance Wars, to an early port of Fire Pro Wrestling.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

After someone had nominated TNA Anon himself for 8chanmania XXV, TNA secretly added the Gameboy Advance as his first enemy. The resulting fight was not so much about man and machine, but more about man and the grinding forces of procrastination - specifically, procrastinating with the Mania so TNA could get through his backlog of GBA games. Rest assured, TNA won with a sound KO, and the Mania went on for more than two years.
