Hawlucha is a Fighting/Flying-type Pokemon that was introduced in Pokemon X and Y.

Bio[edit | edit source]

True to its name, Hawlucha's plumage gives it the appearance of a luchador. The similarities don't stop there - much like its human counterparts, Hawlucha uses its agility and fast jumps to outmaneuver larger, heavier opponents, and generally spends more time flying through the air than it does fighting on the ground. It's hot-blooded nature may not always result in the soundest tactical decision, however, and Hawlucha furthermore is prone to show off while right in the thick of it; it's vanity usually resulting in unpleasant consequences.

Hawlucha is especially well known for its signature move, Flying Press.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Hawlucha likely debuted in 8chanmania IV, only to get stomped by Sasquatch.

It would not return until 8chanmania LXVIII, where it very fittingly had adopted Los Tiburon as its trainer. Hawlucha defeated Serval and Shao Khan before it had to learn that nobody beats Kurt Wylde.

Both pokemon and trainer gave it another try at 8chanmania LXX, but while Hawlucha won its initial fight against Incineroar, it subsequently was defeated and captured by Shield-chan. To say Los Tiburon was not amused would be a profound understatement.

Through unknown means, Hawlucha returned to Los Tiburon, and the two formed a tag team for 8chanmania LXXVI. The luchas ate Vile and Dark Falz for lunch and proved too cool for oldschool /b/rotha and Aniki, but their nature as Hispanics made them all too susceptible to the liberally applied police violence of Lamaj and Erioioire.

Hawlucha and Los Tiburon would team up for one last time during 8chanmania C, where they fought Aniki and his Machamp. Unfortunately, the team lost when Machamp managed to successfully pin Los Tiburon.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Hawlucha currently is the only pokemon to hold the Fighting/Flying-type.
