Ken Masters is a recurring character from the Street Fighter series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Born to a rich hotel tycoon, Ken's father was worried that his son might grow up as a spoiled brat, and thus sent the twelve-year-old boy to the karate master Gouken in order to learn discipline. It was under the care of this mentor that Ken became fast friends with Gouken's adoptive son Ryu. Ken would only leave the master's dojo at the age of 23, and where Ryu left to win the first World Warrior Tournament, Ken instead won the US Martial Arts Tournament. He and Ryu would later face one another in the second World Warrior Tournament, and the rest is TL/DR.

In contrast to the generally stoic Ryu, Ken is an aggressive and flamboyant fighter that has no trouble letting his enemies know about the enormous size of his ego. On the flipside, he also is a loving family man to his wife Eliza and his son Mel; constantly worried about their well-being to the point he nearly wouldn't have participated in the fourth World Warrior Tournament due to a pregnant Eliza being close to her due date.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Ken's only personal appearance in the mania was during 8chanmania VII, although missing records mean nothing beyond him not winning the belt is known about this.

During 8chanmania LIV, Ken acted as the trainer of an Incineroar. Sadly, the latter was swiftly kicked out of the preliminaries by the Hitmonlee of a Blemmy.
