" Shake Shake!"
— Marina

Marina Liteyears is a android an the main character of the Nintendo 64 side-scrolling platformer Mischief Makers

Bio[edit | edit source]

Marina Liteyears was designed by and serves as the bodyguard of painfully clumsy Professor Theo. When the latter is abducted by the forces of the evil Emperor during a visit to the planet Clancer, she immediately sets out to rescue her creator.

The perhaps most prominent feature of the cybot are her powerful arms. She is capable of grabbing and holding on to nearly all objects in the game - Marina can shake grabbed enemies to damage them, shake various objects to potentially find some loot, or instead use her arms to swing herself from place to place. Whether or not she can also shake the booty is the subject of ongoing discussion.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Marina likely debuted in 8chanmania IV, where she was spooked by Spider-Man.

She returned for 8chanmania XLII, where she first met Plum. Inexperienced with the golfing jargon the young girl talked in, Marina fell for a rather hilarious misunderstanding when she thoroughly misinterpreted Plum's self-description as a "swinger". The issue was resolved after Plum gave her a good beating and a brief lecture about the sport of golf.

Having become good friends with Plum, the two also formed a tag team for 8chanmania XLIV. The somewhat unusual team was met with thunderous applause after it removed Bob and Ankha from the premises. They faced George Constanza and Tomoko next, but what normally should have been a fairly normal match turned into a slaughter when George went berserk and downed both Plum and Marina with two critical weapon hits in the same match; something never seen in any mania before.
