Robin Hood is the titular protagonist of the 1973 Disney movie.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Once upon a time, Walt Disney laid his eyes upon the British folk tale of Robin Hood and decided he might as well make an adaption of it. Coincidentally, however, ol' Walt also had read up upon the legend of Reynard the Fox, and since both figures share the same modus operandi (i.e. trickster heroes taking a piss on the authorities), Disney merged both into one figure.

While fairy tale purists might have cried murder, the simple fact is that folk tales like the two mentioned above usually are highly syncretic to begin with; and often share recurring patterns that can be traced across dozens of cultures and centuries. What old Walt had not anticipated was that his century would also be the one to spawn both the internet and the furry fandom. The rest, as they say, is history.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Robin Hood fought in 8chanmania LVIII, but despite of a lengthy intro from his managers Alan-a-Dale, the fox was defeated by the perpetually impoverished hands of Louie.
