"Beware! I live!"
— Sinistar

Sinistar is the antagonist of the eponymous 1983 arcade game.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Sinistar is a massive and massively malevolent spacecraft. Built from the same Sinisite crystals the player needs to harvest in order to fashion the Sinistar-killing Sinibombs, it puts the player into a race against the clock as he has to harvest aforementioned crystals, prevent Sinistar's workers from doing the same to slow down his construction, and fend off assorted buggers that try to blow him out of space. Should Sinistar's construction be finished, any contact with it will cause it to inspect the nutritional value of the player's spacecraft.

Presumably due to the fairly challenging difficulty level the game employed to leech the bucks out of you, the digitized voice files played after Sinistar has finished construction have neatly burned themselves into the minds of many erstwhile arcade gamers. Sinistar also was notable for being the first arcade game to use full stereo sound, and came with custom-designed 49-way joystick.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Sinistar debuted in 8chanmania LXXVII. It marked his beginning reign of terror by not only defeating but also devouring Lego Yoda (who continued to bully itabout weight issues even after turning into a force ghost), and successfully resisted Dr. Robotnik's attempts to "improve" its machinery. It took evil incarnate in the form of Ganondorf to finally blow it up.

The space stations' second show was during 8chanmania LXXXII. It punched the crap out of and subsequently ate Copy X, yet stood no shit when Donkey Kong went apeshit on it.

Sinistar went another feeding frenzy in 8chanmania LXXXIX, only to find Rion Steiner too tough to swallow.
