DeAndre Cortez Way, better known under his artist name 'Soulja Boy, is a US-American rap artist and record producer.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Gifted with a keen interest in music and a record studio on the part of his father, the rapper that would subsequently establish himself as Soulja Boy originally started out uploading songs to websites including Soundclick, YouTube, and MySpace. The positive feedback inspired him to found his own independent label, and by 2007, Way's first album established him as a known name in the hip hop market.

More importantly, Soulja Boy one day decided he was going to market his own video game console. Which effectively meant he bought up a pre-existing Chinese bootleg console that ran a few dozen emulated titles from Nintendo and slapped his name on it. Between the public knowledge of Nintendo's extremely lenient stance on copyright issues and Soulja Boy's extremely confident stance he could not possibly get into legal trouble, much merriment was had.

Even more importantly, Soulja Boy gifted us with Soulja-tan, and though her console may be dead and her website seized by Nintendo, we still love her with the unique kind of love reserved for a mentally retarded dog puppy.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Soula Boy fought in 8chanmania XLV, where Lana Skye tried to remind him about certain legal repercussions. Her honest attempts fell on deaf ears, and she ended up physically removing him from the ring.
