Alex Jones is a water filter salesman that also doubles as the host of the eponymous The Alex Jones Show, as well as the websites InfoWars and PrisonPlanet.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Jones for all intents and purposes could be called the poster mascot of American right-wing tinfoil hats. He began his career with the long-honored method of call-in shows on cable TV and radio, but his actual breakthrough came with the launch of InfoWars in 1999. Fed by the exploding growth of the then-young internet and conspiracy theories suddenly becoming a part of pop culture in the late 90s (Agent Mulder sends his regards), Jones proved his adaptability by running the whole spectrum; ranging from mind control by extradimensional reptilian aliens, to anti-gun crisis actors, to Satanic pedophile elites.
As with most internet celebrities, Jones enjoys his own cult following. Of the latter, 10% genuinely believe everything he preaches, 10% insists he is controlled opposition, and the remaining 80% think he is batshit insane and mostly watch the show for its entertainment value.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Alex Jones only appeared in 8chanmania XVII, and nothing beyond him not winning a belt there has survived.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- As of November 2024, InfoWars was officially purchased by The Onion. The simulation is caving in upon itself.
