The Another Scorcher Guy was part of a Sears ad for air conditioning.

It are the mid-nineties. In an age where free air conditioning was as scarce as electricity or running water, an average US John Doe sits at home with his Jane Doe; suffering under the scorching heat of a summer's day. The wife complains she can't live another day without Sears Installed Central Air Conditioning™, to which the hubby responds he'll call Sears tomorrow. Taken aghast, the wife insists that he calls Sears now, and the hubby quietly resigns himself to his fate.
The clip in itself could have been a perfectly generic television ad from the 90s, were it not for the fact the advertising department of Sears went straight for maximum exposure. As a result, Americans that grew up at the dawn of the 21st millennium can quote the dialogue of the eleven-second ad by heart; and will instinctively reach for the long-vanished hardline phone when they believe tomorrow will be another scorcher.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Another Scorcher Guy debuted in 8chanmania XL, where he fought and won against The Arm, but immediately was kicked out by JC Denton in the following match.

- The Another Scorcher Guy became an inside joke of the mania after TNA fucked up the stream and played the corresponding ad on a loop while trying to piece it back together.
- The Sears Air Conditioning commercial consequently was played at least once during each ad break of 8chanmania's second season.
