Archer is a major character from the Fate series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Unlike most other heroic spirits encountered in the games, Archer is not an animified bullshit version of a real-world character from myth or history. Instead, he is an alternate incarnation of protagonist Shirou Emiya from a different timeline, where Shirou made contact with the local equivalent of the world spirit, and got an extremely good tan in exchange of becoming part of her cleanup crew.

Archer acts as the servant of magus Rin Tohsaka; his pokéball being a jewel pendant Rin previously used to save the original Shirou's life after he got kebab'd by Lancer at the very start of the story. If you think this sounds overly complicated, consider that Archer also wants to kill Shirou in order to erase himself from the timeline, but that selfish broad Rin just won't let him.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

A very embarrassed Archer debuted in 8chanmania LXXXVI; having somehow become the servant of no-one less 8chanmania's then-janitor and supreme toilet scrubber Gintoki Sakata. His enthusiasm did not exactly improve when he was set to fight what appeared to be an elementary school girl, and even less so when Gintoki hastily tried to sell him off as the 'heroic spirit' of Adolf Hitler. Little did they know that said schoolgirl did not consider Adolf Hitler 'cute', which led to major repercussions on the part of Archer.

For what it was worth, his defeat freed Archer from his servitude under Gintoki, and he ended by the summon by 'accidentally' punching him so hard Gintoki was flying right into the nearest wall.

Unfortunately for him, Gintoki still had the catalyst to re-summon him. So when it came to the Hitler-themed 8chanmania LXXXVIII (and since they couldn't really find the heroic spirit of Hitler himself), the joke told two weeks earlier became reality: An extremely embarrassed Archer, 'enhanced' with a glue-on mustache toothbrush mustache, entered the ring against Holy Hitler. He unsurprisingly lost the match, meaning he and Gintoki were forced to spend a whole week in the incense chambers in atonement for their sins.
