Aya Brea is the protagonist of Parasite Eve and Parasite Eve II.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Aya is a detective of the New York Police Department who visited an opera at Carnegie Hall as part of a date with an insignificant side character. To her surprise, the opera singer suddenly mutates into a hideous abomination, everyone in the room including her date decides to halt and catch fire. Soon learning that the superior genes she gained during a cornea transplant from her dead sister made her the only one that could approach the monster from the opera without undergoing spontaneous combustion, Aya is forced to save all of NY from a rabid piece of mitochondria.
Although she generally incorporates elements of the classical heroine - being strong-willed, stubborn, but also kind and caring to those in need - the things she has seen and the knowledge that she herself no longer is human in the strictest sense of the word both weigh down on her. Aya's uncanny level of skills when it comes to firearms and the wholesale disposal of eldritch aberrations hence is counterbalanced by her serious need for a hug.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Season 2[edit | edit source]
Aya debuted in 8chanmania XL. She handily defeated the Russian tsarina Anya Nikolaevna, but then met her master when she tried to arrest ZUN for drunk driving.
After pausing for a week, she returned for 8chanmania XLII, where Akhmet physically removed her from the preliminaries.
Season 3[edit | edit source]
Her third (and last) chance during 8chanmania LXVIII was cut short when she met an Angel that certainly did not descend from the heavens.
