Banzai Man is the figurehead and the host of the British gambling TV show Banzai.
Bio[edit | edit source]
In the early 2000s, some blokes on the Bri'ish telly saw the mad audience ratings for the equally mad Japanese game shows and decided they wanted a part of the rice cake, too. So they made their own Japanese game show: Complete with fairly authentic Japanese cast, challenges that could have been written by a person undergoing a mental health crisis, and narrators that spoke arr rike dis.
Being the face of the show, Banzai Man opened each episode with the long-drawn, melodic 'BAN-ZAAAAAAAAIII' that gave the format its name. He also served as the judge for many of the show's various contests; his stern presence being complimented by the man's uncanny ability to keep a straight face amidst the general lunacy around him.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Season 2[edit | edit source]
After 8chanmania was was repossessed IRS in the wake of 8chanmania LXVI, Banzai Man's agent Mr. Shake Hands Man arrived just in the nick of time to pay the mania's tax debt and prevent a full liquidation of its assets. Of course, the deal he managed to hand-shake out of the IRS also transferred the mania's ownership straight into the hands of Banzai Inc.; meaning Banzai Man himself became the new organizer of the tournament.
Season 3[edit | edit source]
To his dismay, Banzai Man soon found that his earnest attempts to turn the mania into a profitable business was not only sabotaged by the mania's gargantuan special effects budget, but also by the tendency of the contestants to try and kill each other. As a result, he spent most of the time trying to prevent the fighters from murdering each other before they could murder the show's ratings, too.
This was not without danger: During 8chanmania LXXXV, Banzai Man's attempt to step in when Ugandan Knuckles tried to shank Amy Rose in the second round resulted in him getting stabbed instead. Fortunately, it later became apparent that the copious amounts of red liquid which kept seeping out of him while Default-Chan and Violet tended to him in the commentary booth were mere fake blood.
24 Hour Stream[edit | edit source]
Banzai Man briefly appeared in the 24 Hour Stream, where he had a Pokémon battle against Los Tiburon after the latter's jailbreak mission had him stumbling into the The Ring.
More importantly, the event's donation drive resulted in so much unexpected income that Default-Chan could pay her debt to Banzai Inc. and regain ownership of the mania. This made for one very happy girl and one Japanese man freshly out of a job.
Banzai![edit | edit source]
Banzai Man stepped into the ring himself during 8chanmania XCV, firmly intend to use the power of the recently rediscovered Wrestle Gear in order to return the mania into the possession of Banzai Inc. His plan went off to a decent start when he resisted Van Darkholme's attempts to drag him into his deep, dark fantasies; but despite of also winning his second match against that one Sora lookalike, Banzai Man was not properly clothed for the chilling effect that Winter Alto had in store for him.
