Beaclon is a Soil/Wind-type monster from the Monster Rancher series, first debuting in Monster Rancher 2.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Back in the day, when Japanese kids didn't have monsters, pokémon, digimon, or what-have-you-mon for their brutal animal fights, they had to make do with what Mother Nature gave them. And since they had no intention of putting barbed wire around their cocks like those uncultured western gaijin, they used insects instead.
The most prized and popular bug used in these battles is the Japanese rhinoceros beetle. Aside from its similarity to the kabuto helmet, they also resemble sumo wrestlers - in the sense that male rhino beetles are highly territorial in nature, and will aggressively push and shove other males out of their perceived turf whenever they encounter them.
Monster Rancher took all of these cultural clutter and created Beaclon - a giant, bipedal form of the humble rhino beetle. Its ability to deliver liberal quantities of blunt force trauma makes it a popular choice for the more hot-blooded, younger breeders; but for all of its colossal strength, Beaclon supposedly used INT as its dump stat.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Beaclon fought in the Pokémon-themed 8chanmania LIV, with Colt serving as its trainer. It neatly pulled the plug on the Electabuzz of Daniel Lazarski, but couldn't make it past the Specs Weedle of MacChaeger in the following round.
