The Black Mage is a recurring character/job class from the Final Fantasy series. The one seen in the mania, in turn, is based on its incarnation from the 8-Bit Theatre.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Black Mage is a man of debatable ethical values. Although he tags along with Fighter, Red Mage, and the rest of the group, he makes no secret out of the fact that he is evil, would rather be a villain, and has repeatedly tried to kill the party for his personal benefit. The only exception to this rule is White Mage, who staunchly refuses his ever-so-perverted advances. Although Black Mage theoretically holds a considerable degree of magical power, the universe, in a rare display of self-protection, goes well out of its way to screw him over at every avaiable occasion; causing every last of his megalomanical plans to go straight down the shitter.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Black Mage debuted in 8chanmania XXXVII, and promptly was thrown out again by Ephalon.
His second stint in 8chanmania LXIV was more pleasing to him - he wrestled a Marathon Security Officer into submission and bested the Tou-Hoe Nazrin; only to have an unfortunate encounter with a certain frost giant.
Following these events, Black Mage chiefly has served as the manager and/or an annoying distraction for White Mage, appearing by her side in 8chanmania LXXVII and 8chanmania LXXIX.
