Cervantes de León is a playable fighter from the Soulcalibur series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Cervantes was a notorious pirate captain, whose ship and crew were the dread of sailors all over the Atlantic. One day, a weapon merchant named Vercci sent him unto a quest to find the fabled blade Soul Edge - without telling him it was cursed, of course. After the better part of twenty years, Cervantes resurfaced - armed with the sword, and driven feverishly mad by its murderous hunger for souls.
His reign of terror was brought to an end by Siegfried Schtauffen, Sophitia Alexandra, and some Chinese guy that didn't make it into the mania. But since the shattered blade had a mind of its own, it reformed - as did Cervantes himself. That he came back as a terrifying ghost pirate didn't bother him in the slightest, and with his own ghost ship to call his own, Cervantes set sail to reclaim the blade.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Soulcalibur - in MY mania?![edit | edit source]
Cervantes first appeared in a story segment of 8chanmania LXXIX, in which Bane had opened a portal to the Soulcalibur universe in search for allies to take over the mania itself. By the time the tournament was nearing its semi-finals, Bane called him in to be his tag team partner against the combined force of Siegfried and CIA, but although the sea pirate and the air pirate won, Bane immediately banished Cervantes with an ofuda he had previously bought from a "little shrine maiden".
8chanmania C[edit | edit source]
Despite of the abuse by his previous employer, Cervantes returned as one of Bane's mooks when the latter tried to take over the mania (again). More specifically as part of the Historical Harrowing during 8chanmania C. Ironically, Bane's fight against George Washington only resulted in attracting even more third-party actors, and the entire ring ended up getting nuked by Utsuho Reiuji.
