Dan Hibiki is a playable character from the Street Fighter series, first debuting in Street Fighter Alpha.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Hibiki is an up-and-coming martial arts master whose very optimistic assessment of his own power is mildly detached from reality. Originally taught by the very same Gouken that also oversaw the training of Ryu and Ken Masters, Hibiki has developed his own fighting style called Saikyo-ryu (lit. 'The Strongest Style'), and promotes it in his own, highly successful fighting school.
Dan's overwhelming confidence in his own skills is such that many opponents mistake him for a bumbling idiot. But just as a master of drunk boxing mostly feigns his intoxication, Hibiki really just pretends he is a loud, obnoxious nitwit. People who fall for this trap usually don't live to tell the tale, and if they do, it totally is not because they allowed Hibiki to win the match over an awkward sense of pity.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Hibiki only fought in 8chanmania VIII, and lacking records mean nothing beyond him not winning a belt is known.
