Jerome "Doc" Louis is a major supporting character from the Punch-Out!! series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Originally a heavyweight boxer himself during the 1950s, Doc Louis has largely retired from the active sport, and now spends the days coaching it to others. A chance encounter sees him meeting Little Mac, whose young age and short stature saw him rejected by 200 other coaches. Perhaps seeing the hidden potential in him, Louis takes Little Mac under his wing anyway; teaching him the ins and outs of the ring.
Though no longer in his prime and having grown slightly bulky due to his obsession with chocolate bars, Doc Louis still is a more than capable sparring partner. His experience likewise is crucial when it comes to identifying the various weaknesses of Mac's opponents. Doc's only real fault are the repeated charges of Grand Theft Bicycle filed against him.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Doc Lous first served as Mac's manager in 8chanmania LXXI.
He himself only entered the ring in 8chanmania XCVII after Shinya Arino, where he technically was supposed to act as Arino's trainer. Practically, he swiped Arino's trademark cooling pad right from his forehead and wiped the floor with him, with Doc explaining he was after the Wishing Machine in order to procure infinite chocolate bars. This plan was sound enough to let Doc KO Los Tiburon, but things went sour when Doc went after Pizza Ya San and tried ordering a pizza with both pineapples AND chocolate.
