Electronic Arts is major video game publisher that specializes in buying up successful franchises, firing everyone who made them successful, and then milking them to death.
Bio[edit | edit source]
A bit of a mind game: Suppose you would ask a group of people as to whether or not Adolf Hitler was a bad person. Four out five would agree Adolf Hitler was, in fact, a bad person. The fifth guy would insist Hitler did nothing wrong. Ask the same sample as to whether or not Electronic Arts is a bad company, and all five would unanimously agree EA is evil incarnate.
While Ubisoft and many other big animals from the gaming industry have tried to usurp its throne for years, the sheer list of successful franchises that EA destroyed with its rapacious corporate greed is hard to top; doubly so in that EA had all the money and twenty-plus years' worth of time to butcher popular studios ranging from Westwood, to Maxis, to Visceral Games.
Rumors that EA execs routinely sacrifice the blood and viscera of infants, baby animals, and perpetually overworked developers to Moloch may be slightly exaggerated, but probably also aren't too far off the mark.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
A physical avatar of EA fought in the 'Bad Games'-themed 8chanmania LXXII. Its battle against Winter Alto was remarkable in that even this nihilistic version of Alto seemed to utterly despise the company; ironically proving that even Winter Alto still has a shred of humanity in her.
