Elvis Presley, affectionately remembered as The King of Rock'n'Roll was a US-American musician and actor.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Born into a family of very modest means, (and having survived his stillborn twin brother), Elvis grew up as a momma's boy too shy for singing, but with a great love for Hillbilly-style country musicians like Mississipi Joe. His style evolved through his exposure of Tennesee Blues music, Southern Gospel, and African-American Spiritual songs; eventually making him one of the first pioneers of Rock'n'Roll.

We won't bother to lay down the rest of the story here, but all things said and done, Elvis more or less invented the method of financing yourself via hordes of manic, hysterically screaming teenage groupies whose collective panties would have yielded enough fluids to fill Lake Superior. He also invented the rock star lifestyle of having more drugs in your system than your medical practitioner can count, which took its toll.

Ravaged by the constant interplay of stimulants and sedatives, an obese, worn-out Elvis finally succumbed to a drug-induced heart attack on August 16th, 1977 at the venerable age of forty-two. Even then, Elvis had become so much of a pop icon that large parts of his cult refused to believe in his demise, leading to frequent 'Elvis Sightings' and Elvis impersonators all across the globe.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Elvis (along with Neil Peart and Keith Flint) served as the managers and/or cheerleader squad for Buddy Holly during the post-mortem 8chanmania LXXXI. He and the rest of the crew hoped Buddy would win the mania so their legacy would be remembered for all eternity, but though Buddy ended up losing to Scatman John, the latter readily pointed out they wouldn't be forgotten anytime soon.
