The Flood Combat Form is a recurring sub-type of the larger Flood species from Halo.
Bio[edit | edit source]
The Combat Form is but one of the myriad outgrowths of the Flood - a parasitic, alien super-organism that seeks to consume all sentient life in the galaxy so it can use its accumulative brainpower to spawn its own, god-like Gravemind. Procured through intimate contact between a Flood Pod Infector and an entirely unwilling host, the Combat Form doubles as the Flood's line infantry and a futuristic zombie apocalypse.
Since Combat Forms merely are adapted and (as far as the Flood is concerned) 'improved' versions of their previous selves, their exact appearance varies wildly. They usually will attack by means of their elongated fangs and claws, but given that the Flood also absorbs any memories and acquired skills of its new recruits, Combat Forms technically are as capable of operating a gun as they are of operating a starship.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
A Combat Form fought in the post-mortem 8chanmania LXXXI. It ran straight into Captain Qwark, who used its bizarrely hostile behavior to market a few, consumer-friendly skincare products.
