Fred Durst is an American musical artist, movie director, and textbook image of the original dudebro.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Once upon a time (well, in the early 2000s), there was this wonderfully bizarre outfit called Limp Bizkit. Being one of the first groups in the newly-budding genre that would later be dubbed 'Nu Metal', Limp Bizkit perfectly embodied the rebellious teenage spirit of its own, particular era; and thus was a mandatory part on every playlist whenever white, suburbanite kids gathered up to get wasted.
Aside from being a prime source for a unique mix between nostalgia and embarrassment for millenials worldwide, Durst's popularity also gave him a couple of cameo roles in movies (where he usually played himself) and video games (where people could play as himself). His later stints as a movie director were somewhat controversial, he presumably did so with the best of intentions, and John Travolta needed the money.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Season 3[edit | edit source]
Having been a /bmn/ darling ever since he produced The Fanatic, it came as little surprise that he got his nomination for the Bad Games/Bad Movies-only 8chanmania LXXII. His attempt to prove he was the "real OG" found little sympathy with Piro Il Grezzo.
8chanmania C[edit | edit source]
Due to his role as an icon of the 2000s, Durst took part in the Royal Rumble-style Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny of 8chanmania C. A technical fuck-up resulted in him actually entering (and then being thrown out of) the ring twice.
