The Ghost of the Christmas Future is is a character from Charles Dicken's 1843 novel A Christmas Carol.
Bio[edit | edit source]
When the rich, but cold-hearted and stingy money lender Ebenezer Scrooge goes to bed on the eve before Christmas, he is visited by three ghosts. The first, the Ghost of the Christmas Past, confronts him with his own, unhappy childhood in a boarding school, and illustrates how his greed caused his crush Belle to turn away and marry another man. The second, the Ghost of the Christmas Present, shows Scrooge how his greed will cause a sickly boy to die because he denies his father the money for the much-needed medication.
The third and final ghost is the Ghost of the Christmas Future. He shows Scrooge his own death - unmourned, and forgotten in an overgrown grave while his unpaid servants and debtors make away with all of his tightly-clutched belongings. Utterly horrified by all three visions, Scrooge desperately begs the Ghost of the Christmas Future for a second chance - and receives it. Waking up again on Christmas Day, the former miser changes his ways and becomes the very epitome of charity and generosity.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
The Ghost of the Christmas Future only appeared in the Christmas-themed 8chanmania IX, and nothing beyond him not winning a belt is known.
