Gilgamesh is a recurring character from the Final Fantasy series, with this iteration being from Final Fantasy VI.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Gilgamesh ostensibly might seem like a threatening character - he serves as a lieutenant and right-hand man to the main villain Exdeath, is equipped with a full set of the rare Genji armor, and greatly enjoys luring the Heroes of Light into battle at the most inopportune of moments.
Alas, his martial pride and honor only go as far as his personal safety does; meaning that Gilgamesh generally tucks in his tail and runs as soon as he realizes the battle is not going in his favor. As such, he started a legacy of grand-talking, knuckle-headed comic villains that would later be continued by Ultros from Final Fantasy VI.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Gilgamesh appeared in 8chanmania XXII; only to get brutalized by Baiken. That he didn't flat-out run from the ring in the style of Cornholio was a small miracle.
He resurfaced in 8chanmania LXXXIX, where he faced 9S. Gilgamesh's grand intro sort of failed after he realized he had forgotten why Exdeath had sent him to the mania in the first place, but despite of his defeat, he still got a happy ending in that 9S invited the arms enthusiastis to survey his weapon collection.
