Raymond M. Lloyd is an Amercian professional wrestler.
Bio[edit | edit source]
A lifelong wrestling enthusiast, Lloyd underwent training in the martial arts of Hung Ga, Karate, and American college football. After earning himself a master's degree in education from Valdosta state university, Lloyd was taken under the wing of Georgia grappler Fred Avery, and spent two years making a new for himself as "Sugar Ray" Lloyd in the independent circuit. By 1989, Lloyd had joined the WCW (then still known as NWA). He famously jobbed against The Great Muta, but left the latter so impressed that Muta himself had Lloyd join him on a series of WCW house shows in Japan.
Lloyd's role as Glacier (inspired by Mortal Kombat's own Sub-Zero) took root in 1996. The gimmick came with plenty of flashy stuff, including blue laser lights for Glacier's entry, synthetic snow falling onto the stage, and Glacier himself being one cold motherfucker. One knee injury and about three years later, he seemingly dropped the gimmick by selling his trademark mask and armor to Kaz Hayashi and Ernest "The Cat" Miller.
LLoyd went on to fund the short-lived Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling alongside Dusty Rhodes, and re-donned his Glacier gimmick to team up with Big Ron Studd. He once more became part of the Independent Circuit, but while Glacier's career is ongoing to this day, his increasingly sporadic appearances have reduced him to the role of a jobber.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Glacier debuted in 8chanmania IX, but nothing beyond him not winning a belt there has survived.
He made a Season's Greetings reappearance in 8chanmania XLIII, yet quickly was crushed by the Christmas Creature.
