Godzilla is a giant, amphibian reptile that stars in the long-running series of the same name.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Godzilla's exact origins have been the subject of artistic liberty since its first appearance in the 1954 movie. It generally is described as an ancient creature that feeds on atomic radiation and was awoken from its millenia-old slumber by some kind of nuclear incident. Fittingly, Godzilla's most powerful weapon is the atomic breath it can emit from its mouth, allowing it to level entire city blocks.

Although the first Godzilla movie was fairly serious and effectively treated the giant reptile as an allegory towards the destructiveness of atomic bombs, the many, many flics that followed considerably toned down its genocidal character. In time, Godzilla became a somewhat unwilling protector of humanity - not really interested in the well-being of individual people, but still willing to team up with mankind against greater threats.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Godzilla debuted in 8chanmania XCVII. It defied the attempts of Yamada the Brave to turn it into a video game antagonist, but then made the mistake of opposing Pizza Ya San on one of his deliveries.

During 8chanmania XCVIII, Godzilla teamed up with the Giant Enemy Crab to fight the Jackie Chan Tulpa and Chuck Norris. Godzilla itself suffered a crippling KO from the Tulpa, while the giant crab tapped out to Chuck Norris.

In 8chanmania C, Godzilla was one of the many fighters which took part in the Ultimate Showdow of Ultimate Destiny. It did not get very far.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Godzilla's characteristic roar is the slowed-down sound of a glove covered in pine-tar resin while it's being moved across the strings of a contrabass.
