A memetic mutation of Spurdo Spärde in as much as Spurdo Spärde is a memetic mutation of Pedobear, Gondola is meant to be a creature that embodies a sense of coziness and serenity. It is known to wander the world and quietly observe its surroundings; meaning one might spot Gondola anywhere from the wind-caressed, grassy hills of a warm summer's day, to a lone bus stop where it might shelter from a gentle downpour.
Some would go so far as to argue that Gondola is not even a living, breathing creature, but more of a genius locii - or a genius comfy, in this case. In fact, the sheer number of sightings all across the world would either suggest as vast, global population of Gondolas that somehow eludes traditional science harder than Bigfoot and the Yeti combined, or a singular entity that is not bound by the laws of time and space because it is only bound by the laws of comfy.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Gondola originally was nominated as a fighter in 8chanmania VII. While the exact results of this mania have been lost to history, the fact that the peaceful Gondola had been forced into the ring as a fighter drew great outrage from the audience. After a nearly unanimous vote, Gondola hence took over Clown's referee position, and has remained one of the most prolific figures in that role.
Gondola's actual nature only became apparent during 8chanmania C, when it was made clear that it secretly had been the nigh-legendary Wrestle Gear all along. As such, the three grand champions had to fight it during the last battle of the last mania. It initially was a curbstomp battle as Gondola plainly was immune to all conceivable forms of attack, but after battling it to the very edge of the universe, the three champions used the raw Frasergy resting therein to fundamentally alter reality - and make a home for Gondola so comfy that it promptly fell asleep.
