Heihachi Mishima is a playable fighter and recurring villain from the Tekken series.

Bio[edit | edit source]

As per established fighting game tradition, every big Fighting Tournament needs to be backed by a powerful megacorp with a questionable ethics policy. In Tekken, this role is filled by the arms industry powerhouse Mishima Zaibatsu. Which, in turn, was run by the notoriously ruthless Heihachi Mishima - a man with such immense lust for power, he had his own evil prophecy foretold about him.

Granted, Heihachi is not a complete monster. Having to his wife before she managed to do the same to him over that entire prophecy business stung. And throwing his five-year-old son down a cliff could be seen as justified by the threat he might take after his mother. Even locking his old man into the basement to usurp the family business might have been about saving said business.

But if there is a single proof this guy is evil, it is the simple fact that he stubbornly refuses to die. It took seven attempts and a bath in an active volcano until Mishima finally kicked the bucket for good, and even now, it's probably just a question of time until Bandai Namco brings him back under some sort of bullshit excuse.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Heihachi Mishima fought in the post-mortem 8chanmania LXXXI. Endlessly frustrated over fighting in yet another tournament he didn't run, he vented his anger upon an unsuspecting Zack Fair, but tapped out against Eddie Guerrero in the following round.
