Jack Armitage is the protagonist of the 1993 NES game Shadowrun.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Jake originally was a shadowrunner-slash-courier of no further importance (New Vegas sends its regards), and would have been just another casualty of the setting's unending gang wars after being gunned down in the streets of Seattle. His prompt resurrection at the hands of a heavy metal kitsune left him with more question than answers; as did the memory loss he got from having chunks of his brain blown out.
Since Jake very much wanted to know why he got shot in the first place, he tries to pick up the news by the only means he knows: Running the shadows. A little while (and a lot of pop-up enemies) later, Armitage learns his skull not only contains still-intact time bomb, but also a dense piece of code meant to destroy the AI of a resident MegaCorp. To a shadowrunner, this constitutes a regular workday.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Jake Armitage fought in 8chanmania LXXI. The unpleasant realization that his personal bomb was still ticking, and now was tied to finding out about something in the mania left him with little other choice than to fight the Irish investigator Patrick Galloway. Despite of Jake's insane gunslinger-shaman-decker multispec, he still ended up getting defeated, but Patrick promptly defused his bomb by forcing a bottle of whisky down his throat.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- After a long hiatus, Armitage returned as a recruitable party member for Shadowrun Returns.
