Mikey Simon, better known in his role as Kappa Mikey, is the star of the eponymous cartoon show.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Mikey is young, US-American child actor who got shipped off to Japan in order to star in the tokusatsu show LilyMu. Actually filming the show's episode is not without its issues, however, as social drama and whatnot means virtually every take has to be filmed, scrapped, and then filmed again after Mikey did some group therapy with the rest of the crew and the writers have a moral lesson so shoehorn into the show.

Repetitive plot elements aside, Kappa Mikey mostly is a US parody of Japanese anime shows, with Mickey himself appearing as your stereotypical SoCal studio cartoon character, while all of the Japanese characters (and the purple Pikachu lookalike) look as if stolen from a low-budget version of a Mongolian horse drawing show. To keep the adaption faithful, Kappa Mikey didn't get any animation budget, either.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Kappa Mikey fought in the 2000s-themed 8chanmania LXXXVI. He initially was relived to meet a fellow American in the form of Betty Newbie, but made the tactical mistake of questioning the immaculate innocence of Betty's baby boy, Damien. Suffice it to say he did not make it past the first round.
