Kojiro Hyuga is a major character from the soccer-based manga-turned-anime Captain Tsubasa series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
One of the most notorious strikers in the Japanese football league, Hygua serves as a character foil to the eponymous Tsubasa Oozora. Whereas Tsubasa is your inept, but good-hearted manga hero whose powers of heart helps him to overcome various obstacles, Hygua is a cold-hearted, arrogant anti-hero whose pursues his dreams of becoming the best striker in history with no regard for collateral damage.
Owing to the unwritten rules of the genre, Hyuga's sociopathic tendencies are later excused away by a tragic background story, and he ends up playing on the same team as the main hero. His sheer skill means he manages to make it to the international transfer market, which our dearest reader can imagine as a game of Monopoly played by oil sheiks and Russian oligarchs.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Hyuga fought in 8chanmania LXXXII. He was less than pleased at he prospect of having to fight a freaking gorilla, but still vowed on to fight on behalf of his brothers and sisters. Sadly, the gorilla also fought on behalf of not getting an earful by old man, so Hygua missed out on the prize money.
