Kumiromi is a harvest deity from the Japanese roguelike Elona.
Bio[edit | edit source]
While your classical murderhobo might find it more pragmatical to worship gods with a martial streak, many players have developed a certain fondness to Kumiromi, and the farming-related boons he gives to the faithful. For one, because Elona is a wonderfully diverse game, and just whacking people over the head usually isn't the sole solution to things. For another, because farmers in Elona are like alchemists in Morrowind.
Long story short, farming in Elona allows you to grow anything from cash crops, to herbs with permanently raise your stats, to artifact seeds that - believe it or not - grow into into exactly what it says on the tin. With a bit of time, a humble farmer thus can grow into a monstrously overpowered character, but since this is half the game (and the other half lies doing a live re-enactment of Alien), this is fine.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Kumiromi fought in 8chanmania LXXVIII, where he embarrassingly got beaten to a pulp by a Supremacy-equipped Spanish Villager, and then converted by his Wololo Monk manager.
