Kyle Hyde is the protagonist of the Nintendo DS adventures games Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Last Window: The Secret of Cape West.

Bio[edit | edit source]

Born in raised in New York, Kyle originally worked as a detective for the NYPD, but called it quits and moves to Los Angeles after an unhappy incident involving his former partner. He quickly found a new job thanks to his old man's connection to Red Crown - a company whose door-to-door salesmen trade in household goods. It's not exactly the work of his dreams, but curiously, Red Crown also runs a little side business in the form finding stuff people don't want you to find.

In case his background and his gritty black-and-white character portrait don't spell it out: Kyle's is the hard-boiled detective of two hard-boiled detective stories. There's the mysterious young lady, stolen diamonds, and the supposedly haunted hotels only being haunted by the ghosts from Kyle's own past. Let none say life as a glorified Tupperware salesman can't be exciting, but it's not like it's Kyle's fault everyone he meets has ties to African rivers or large birds.

In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]

Kyle's first and currently sole appearance was during 8chanmania XLV. He managed to defeated Lucifer himself, only to be caught with his pants down by Fleece Johnson.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Last Windows' name turned out to be darkly prophetic, as it was the last game of developer Cing before they had to declared bankruptcy in 2010.
