Landorus is a legendary Ground/Flying Pokémon from Pokémon Black & White.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Folks over in the Unova region believe that their land was watched over by a god called Landorus. The latter not only served as a harvest deity that ensured the proper growth of the crops, but also saved them from becoming collateral damage in the eternal struggle between the two other gods Tornadus and Thunderus. Namely by punching them straight in the kisser.
Most people perceived Landorus in the form of an angry old man riding atop of a cloud. But this was a mere avatar (the aptly-named 'Incarnate Form'), and in a setting where gods regularly get enslaved by teenage kids, it didn't take too long until someone found a way to coerce Landorus back into its original therian form - a (still angry) large cat.
Some scholars insist that Landorus', being a Japanese critter, actually is based on a fox motive based on the mythological Inari Okami. More enlightened scholars insist it is based on a wolf motif based on Holo from Spice and Wolf. The most enlightened scholars refused to comment, as they only watched Spice and Wolf for the economics.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Landorus T fought in the Pokémon-themed 8chanmania LIV; with Sumireko Usami serving as its trainer. It swiftly got kicked out of the ring by the Kadabra of Reigen Arataka.
