Lucifer is a major recurring demon from the Megami Tensei series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Much as with the famed devil of Christian mythology, Megami Tensei's Lucifer originally used to be an angel in service of the Abrahamic god. But whereas contemporary religions portray his rebellion against god as unequivocally evil act and use Lucifer for a scapegoat for literally everything bad that has happened since the dawn of creation, Megami Tensei went with a slightly more nuanced with approach.
Long story short, the series' idea of god chiefly rests on the the terrifying control freak found in the Old Testament. Where God stands as the iron-handed authoritarian that actively despises man's trait of free will, Lucifer ostensibly appears to be the rebellious anti-hero that wants humanity to be free, come heaven or hell. Whether or not humanity's track record makes this a good idea is up to the player.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Lucifer debuted in 8chanmania XLIV; forming a tag team with Philemon. The two testers of men didn't get past their first fight against Doomguy and Ranger, as Lucifer promptly tapped out in a submission hold.
Little Lucy gave it another go in 8chanmania XLV, but couldn't withstand the intense questioning of Kyle Hyde.
