Lupin III is the titular protagonist of the manga and anime series Lupin III.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Grandson to the legendary French master thief Arséne Lupin, Lupin III is more than happy to continue the time-honored family business by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor pretty women. The same mannerisms that make him look laid back or even stupid at times hide a razor-sharp mind schooled in nearly all parts of science one could possibly think of - but usually preoccupied by pretty women. Lupin generally steals more for the thrill of the act than for need of material possessions, and although he may be a criminal himself, he and his gang more than often end up stopping more violent criminals in the middle of a heist, so long as this means they can right and injustice. And so long as the victims of said injustice are pretty women.
Lupin's brilliant mind is nearly without flaw, but suffers from one glaring weakness: Extreme curiosity and mischief. Oh, and pretty women. His old love Fujiko Mine in particular is more than capable of turning his head in ways that would probably break his neck if Lupin wasn't so elastic, and even so, his major loss of brain activity whenever he spots someone of the fairer sex probably would be the end of him if he couldn't count on his two partners in crime: The gunman Daisuke Jigen and the renegade samurai Goemon Ishikawa XIII.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Lupin III debuted in 8chanmania LXXXV. Heavily indebted to Tom Nook after buying a grappling hook from him, he hoped to rob K.K. Slider after defeating him in the first round. This did not work as planned - the wolf defeated the dog, but Slider talked Lupin into selling him his jacket instead of just taking his bells and be done with it. Lupin's streak of strange luck continued when he took on the Four Kings and revealed that Balthazar actually was Aries from The Cheetahmen after their defeat. The master thief's acrobatic talent undoubtedly helped him to best (and not to get shanked) by Ugandan Knuckles in the next round, but taking on the Gundam Rose piloted by George de Sand was a bit more than he could chew.
Lupin would later steal the Rose Gundam and talk his old flame Fujiko into piloting it as his tag-team partner for 8chanmania LXXXVII. It clearly was not the best of ideas, as they promptly got kicked out of the tournament by Yang Wen-li and Walter von Schönkopf.
Sensing his last chance to steal the belt, Lupin III partned up with Phantom R for 8chanmania XCVIII. He and his partner-in-crime promptly found themselves facing a rather irritated Miles Edgeworth (and his lackey Dick Gumshoe), but despite several legally questionable shenanigans (such as trying to get King Harkinian to imprison the thieves in his dungeon without a proper trial), Edgeworth and Gumshoe were hoisted by their own petard when Harkinian instead imprisoned them for losing the match. Sadly, their next fight against Adolf Hitler and Chaika Trabant ran less smoothly - they were soundly defeated after Lupin tried talking Hitler into sharing all of his pirated Seinfeld episodes with him.
