Markus Kruber is one of the playable characters from Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Once a renowned sergeant leading the equally renowned 8th Ostland regiment, , Kruber's career and mind both took a nosedive after he led his men to battle against a necromancer and came back all by himself. His understandable wish to leave the military was denied, to the point that Kruber's only means to get away from his old job was to sign up with the visting Witch Hunter Victor Salzpyre.
One could say Kruber jumped out of the pan and landed right in the fire. One could also say he is the closest thing to a regular bloke (and certainly the closest thing to sane person) in the entire freakshow that serves as the game's main cast. As a result, Kruber's immense popularity with the fans is less about his martial skill, and more about players identifying with him as a poor bastard that has to cope with an infinite flood of bullshit. It's Goslingposting, except Warhammer.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Kruber, under the command of Victor Salzpyre, fought in 8chanmania XCV. His service under a witch hunter meant he had little difficulty when it came to busting the would-be psyker Tetsuo Shima, but his pragmatic methods left so much of a mess that the SS13 Janitor had to clean him right up.
