Mike Duncan Haggar is a recurring character from Capcom. Originally debuting in the 1989 title Final Fight, he also was a playable character in the Slam Masters and Marvel vs. Capcom series. He additionally serves as a background character in Street Fighter.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Already an experienced pro-wrestler by the time he hit the spotlight, Haggar originally served as a mentor for the newcomers Biff Slamkovich and Gunlock before he himself signed up for the Capcom Wrestling Association. There, he formed one half of the "Knuckle Dusters" tag team alongside the bulky Alexander the Grater.
He eventually retired from wrestling and instead became the mayor of Metro City; promising to tackle the area's organized crime. Said organized crime - more specifically in the form of the Mad Gear Gang - took major offense at the mayor's masterplan and abducted his daughter Jessica in order to make him dance to their tune. Cue the events of Final Fight, where a very indignant father teams up with Jessica's boyfriend Cody and his buddy Guy to put the gear in the rear.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Mike Haggar's sole appearance was in 8chanmania LXIX, where he couldn't withstand the temptation of Long Long Man's Sakeru Gum.
