Mr. Freeze is a recurring villain from the Batman series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Obsessed with animal hibernation and cryogenics from a young age, a young Victor Fries found ample use for his interest when he decided to put his terminally ill wife Nora Fries in the freezer. While this worked in as much as that it allowed Fries to put Nora into cryostasis (nevermind the bits falling off), it also resulted in a rather awkward lab accident which forced Fries to wear a cryogenic suit, or risk melting at room temperature.
Between the rising costs of his own suit and keeping Nora in the cooler, Fries soon sought funding via different means. A series of relatively modest bank robberies ended up being thwarted by Batman, but far from turning away from crime, Fries used this opportunity to fake his own death and return as Mr. Freeze - an ice-based supervillain who can and will weaponize every cold-based pun you could ever think of.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Mr. Freeze debuted in the second Christmas/Winter-themed tournament, 8chanmania XLIII. And promptly lost to John McClane.
Thanks to his role as the main villain in Batman & Robin, he also got the ticket for the 90s-themed 8chanmania LII. He tried to put a chilling effect upon the tournament, only to get bamboozled by Johnny Turbo.
