Nemesis, or to be more specific Nemesis T-type, is a character from Resident Evil 3 who serves as a recurring boss and main antagonist.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Following the events of Resident Evil 2, Umbrella Corporation was less than pleased that its prototype tyrants and even the improved Tyrant 002 Model - meant to be military-grade biological-organic weapons - had been dispatched by a small police team of Raccoon City's Special Tactics and Rescue Service ("S.T.A.R.S."). It subsequently took the next generation of T-103 models and implanted them with the NE-α parasites to create new Nemesis Tyrants that not only possessed the hulking strength of their predecessors, but also retained human-like intelligence.
The outbreak of the T-Virus in Raccoon City provided Umbrella with the perfect means to test their new products. One of Nemesis Tyrants released into the city came with specific orders to hunt down and kill the members of the S.T.A.R.S. team, consequently being dubbed The Pursuer. Aside from hopefully fulfilling the personal revenge fantasies of its creators, the necessity to identify the faces of its targets would provide a test for the specimen's cognitive capacities, while the rocket launcher it had been supplied with would showcase its ability to handle weapons.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Season 1[edit | edit source]
Nemesis debuted at some point during the first season of 8chanmania, but the exact occasion has been lost to history.
This being said, it is known that he participated in 8chanmania XXXIV, where he violently refused the attempts of Caleb Goldman to study him and then got honked by Clown anyway.
Season 2[edit | edit source]
Nemesis' first appearance in the second season was in 8chanmania XXXV; the first spooky mania. He initially defeated Ankaris with a pin in his first match, but he was then pinned by Giygas in the next round.
Season 3[edit | edit source]
Nemesis made his third known mania appearance at 8chanmania LXVII, prevailing over fellow monsters Pyramid Head and Hammer Haunt, as well as Halloween party-goers Erin Stout and Linus van Pelt. Having made it all the way to the finals, he ultimately met his match at the plastic grippers of Lego Skeleton.
Through means unknown, Dr. Morbis won Nemesis as his tag team partner for 8chanmania LXXXVII. The scientist and the abomination of science went on to tear through Paxton Fettel and deny any chance of freedom for R-23, showed absolute disregard towards the funky beats of Ulala and Morolian, sent Eddie Guerrero back to the grave and sufficiently weakened Infinite Cena to be defeated by Infinite (Sonic) off-screen. This earned them the mysterious Negaball.
After having brisked through the semi-finals (as well as Amakasu Barley Tenji and Rinon, while they were at it), Nemesis and Dr. Morbis ultimately faced and won against the 80s Noise Marine and a Goff Rokka. But a belt is only large enough for one fighter - with the Rokka telling Nemesis that Morbis himself probably was "roight full of stars", the horrendous abomination launched itself against its erstwhile partner - and lost.
On his own again and just a bit irritated, Nemesis stomped back into the ring at 8chanmania LXXXIX. He defied the claim of Max Stirner that his quest for STARS was a mere spook, seemed unfazed by the constant screaming of the Lost Kamikaze, and did not particularly care of the aspects of Raidou Kuzunoha XIV. It took a grizzled Vietnam vet in the form of Animal Mother to send the BOW packing in the semi-finals.
