The Ogretail is a type of critter from the God Eater series.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Ogretails are a breed of aragami - colonies of single-cell organisms that gather around a single core to form the large, monstrous creatures. Invulnerable to conventional weapons and driven by perpetual hunger, the aragami led to most of humanity and Earth's resources no longer being there, but thanks to new weapons fueled by Finnish perkele magic, what little remains of man is now turning the tables.
Within the larger context of this setting, Ogretails are the perhaps least-threatening (but most numerous) of the aragami. By which we mean they're still furry terror birds the size of a small truck. Being at the bottom of the food chain, they generally are scavengers that feast on the carrion of larger aragami. Yet if careless hunters wanders too close, they still have the means to make them carrion, too.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
An Ogretail appeared in the mook-themed 8chanmania LXXXIV. It had its own little beast war with the Rhenoplos from Monster Hunter, but despite of an initial victory, the scavenger still got scavenged by the Lvl. 5 Goblin.
