Pajeet is your friendly Indian call center tech support guy.
Bio[edit | edit source]
The rising popularity of personal computers since the 1980s was a boon to the tech industry in the sense that it made stupid amounts of money, but also a curse in the sense that a hitherto hobbyist consumer base was rapidly replaced by people who couldn't tell if the power was plugged in or not. This necessitated the creation of the fabled 'tech support', alongside legions of broken office wagies that quietly contemplated if they should shoot the user or themselves first.
Starting somewhere in the 2000s, corporate bigwigs realized Indians had a working knowledge of English, a knack for IT, and could be put into call center duty for a fraction of the cost it took to put a red-blooded American on the chair. As a result, users soon came to enjoy the helpful advice of people who needed the job but also had no idea about computers, or people whose six degrees in computer science do not make it beyond the language barrier.
To be fair, any call to Indian tech support comes with a non-zero chance of dialing up one of the enigmatic Indian tech gurus. The latter will not only fix all of your problems, but also can can instruct the caller on arcane arts such as getting a running copy of Crisis on a Commodore 64.
8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Pajeet had his first (and hitherto only) appearance in 8chanmania XLIX. He made a remarkable debut by landing a critical hit on his first opponent, Chell, a mere 37 seconds after the fight had started, and would go on to defeat Phantom R during the next round via pinfall. Alas, his comet-like rise was brought to an abrupt halt by Ansem, who kicked Pajeet out of the quarter-finals.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Pajeet's KO against Chell currently ranks as one of the fastest wins ever recorded in an 8chanmania match.
