Pico is the protagonist of the early Adobe Flash game Pico's School, as well numerous other games and animations from the website Newgrounds.
Bio[edit | edit source]
It is 1999. Flash animations, let alone playable games are still in their infancy, and lacking corporate oversight means most of them are created by bored teenagers. This led to the creation of many wonderfully anarchic (and/or hilariously edgy) titles whose pristine MS Paint graphics were soon blamed for all of society's problems; including America's weekly school shootings in general and Columbine Massacre in particular.
One website hosting all these violent Flash games was Newgrounds. Newgrounds got a lot of hatemail in the wake of Columbine, so its founder Tom Fulp responded by developing a point-and-click style Flash game in which the eponymous Pico had to stop a bunch of angry goths from shooting up his school. The game served as a raised finger to Liebermann-lookalikes, and also helped to carry Flash games to their golden era during the 2000s.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Pico fought in 8chanmania XCVII. His plans to bring back the Flash era by means of the Wrestle Gear went poof when he got pummeled by Rugal Bernstein.
