Plum is one of the playable characters in the Nintendo 64 version of Mario Golf.

Bio

Plum is a cheerful young lady who aspires to become a golfing legend. Effectively meant to be the female default character to her male counterpart Charlie; Plum is rather lacking when it comes to raw power, but more than makes up for it with her excellent technique and control. Her extensive knowledge about the sport also shines in the Gameboy Color version of the game, where Plum rescinds her role as a playable character to serve as the mascot of the in-game dictionary.

Of course, success breeds jealousy. Some rivals insist Plum only plays golf because her parents are loaded, and more or less forced her into the sports because they themselves never managed to get their own hole in one. Others point out 'Plum' isn't too far off from 'Peach', so her supposed hobby might simply be part of the groundwork for a political career. Beyond the bickering, though, the most realistic answer is that Plum simply enjoys golfing.

In 8chanmania

Season 2

Plum debuted in 8chanmania XLII, where she fought and won against Marina Liteyears, Mario, and Bob, but ultimately found her master in Brauggi during the semi-finals.

One week later, during the 8chanmania XLIV tag team tournament, Plum partnered up with Marina. The two defeated the obnoxious cats Ankha and Bob, but then suffered a crushing defeat against George Constanza and Tomoko after George went berserk and landed critical weapon hits on both girls. This marked the second of only two such occasions in the mania; the first time being a certain incident during 8chanmania XXXI that gave Betty Newbie her terrifying reputation as 'Black Betty'.

Despite of this setback, Plum scored in 8chanmania XLV. She won against Red Mage and later provided evidence of her good character by gifting her golfing visor to the painfully hatless Big Hat Logan after defeating him. She went on to vanquish Cate Archer and even brought the notorious anal aggressor Fleece Johnson behind iron bars (with friendly post-match help from Lolice). In the finals, she faced Johnny Slater, and earned herself a belt after sending the xenophobe packing.

As a result of the above, Plum was one of the champions that squared off in the finals of 8chanmania LXVI. She managed to Cirno into the cooler and spooked Jack Skellington, but if you end up facing the eventual Season 2 Champion Yuuka Kazami, getting the shite stomped out of you is nothing to be ashamed of.

Season 3

Presumably having been busy golfing, Plum took her sweet time until she reappeared in 8chanmania LXXVIII - only to have her balls (well, one ball) eaten by the ever-voracious snow caterpillar Snom.

Her mood did not improve when her next stint in the tag-team-themed 8chanmania XCVIII saw her paired up with her old nemesis Gene Yuss. Despite of the fact that the two spent almost as much time verbally abusing each other as they did physically abusing their opponents, the golfers punched the genocidal tendencies right out of REDACTED and Ugandan Knuckles. Their cleanup continued with Derek Baum and Bob C. Leaner, but going after Adolf Hitler and Chaika Trabant because the latter had been posting pirated copies of Mario Golf in the Share Thread proved to be their undoing.

Trivia

• Plum has a running gag in that she frequently describes herself as "Swinger" - that is, a golf player that uses rhythm and timing over raw force to get the ball into the hole. This is fine with people who know golfing lingo, and slightly disturbing for those who don't.
• Much like Cirno before her, Plum also became a frequent guest commentator for the mania; with her own fixed place in the commentary booth of Default-Chan.
