The Polar Bear (Ursus Maritimus) is a large, carnivorous mammal native to the Arctic Circle.
Bio[edit | edit source]
One of the largest bear species alongside the kodiak bear, polar bears can weigh up to 1,5000 lbs and grow to a total length of over nine feet. They act as the apex predators of their native environment, hunting after ringed seals and bearded seals with the odd side of beluga whales and walrus calves. They have no natural enemies outside of other polar bears, who have no qualms about picking off cubs that aren't their own.
Despite of its intimidating size and strength, the thick fur that protects them from the freezing temperatures of their homeland also means polar bears overheat rapidly if subjected to prolonged physical exercise. As a result, they generally act as ambush predators, and will spend much of their lurking near the edge of breathing holes to swipe at unwitting seals surfacing there.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
A polar bear fought in the Christmas-themed 8chanmania IX, but lacking records mean nothing beyond it not winning a belt there is known.
