Now its Reyn time!
Reyn is a major character and party member from Xenoblade Chronicles.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Since JRPG developers want their audience to identify with the main character (and therefore design the main character as a very feminine man that looks better in a dress, anyway), all the guts and testosterone surgically removed from the main hero often ends up stacked atop of another party member. This party member subsequently becomes the loud and boisterous bruiser of the party, or, in Xenoblade terms - Reyn.
Reyn is a curious mix between your typical JRPG tough guy with a big stick, a tank (complete with his own taunt ability), and a motivational trainer. For as much as he might initially come over as the stereotypical dumb muscle, Reyn only is book-dumb (in the sense he doesn't read any). But Reyn is pretty good at reading people, and often serves as a much-needed down-to-the-earth anchor whenever main protagonist Shulk or his other buddies tend to overthink stuff.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Reyn fought in 8chanmania XCV. Having originally signed up just for the money, the prospect of getting his hands on the mania's mysterious "Wishgranter" got him pumped up alright. At least until he got in the way of Isaac Clarke, who gave him a good stomping.
