Robert Garcia is one of the playable characters from SNK's The Art of Fighting. He would later appear in The King of Fighters.
Bio[edit | edit source]
Garcia's early life was that of a spoiled child born to a rich Italian industrialist. Unwilling to follow his designated role as the heir of the Garcia Foundation, Robert's clandestine visits to the Kyokugenryu Dojo ended up with him running away from home and becoming the first foreign practitioner of Kyokugenryu Karate. He is a good friend of Ryo Sakazaki and infatuated with his sister Yuri, whose abduction in South Town set up the events for The Art of Fighting.
Robert's combat style is as much about showmanship as it is about the actual combat. The apparent arrogance as he dances back and forth in the arena hides a man who still puts every last bit of dedication he has into his battles; especially when he fights on the behalf of his loved ones. That the Foundation he reluctantly took over from his father provides him with generious financial means makes him an even more intimidating foe.
In 8chanmania[edit | edit source]
Robert debuted in 8chanmania XI, where he was kicked out of the preliminaries by Blaziken.
